Some popular revenue programs are Google AdSense, Amazon Associates, and
other major affiliate program networks such as Commission Junction, LinkShare,
and Performics and perhaps CafePress for smaller, personal websites.
ClickBank is an affiliate program that works well for selling electronic information.
PayPal is also an easy-to-use third party payment processor. Affiliates Alert tracks
new ClickBank products for sale. All of these websites are listed in the resource
section at the end of the chapter.

If you monetize your site using AdSense, it may be worth it to limit the number of
ads that appear on the page, as more ads means you will be showing cheaper ads,
and, in some markets, the cost per click quickly drops off rapidly. I also believe the
first AdSense unit called from your source code will display the most expensive ads
possible.
Some topics may make next to nothing from pay-per-click ads, while other
industries (such as California mortgage) may earn over a dollar a click. If you can
create an idea that generates a decent amount of syndication and attracts a few
good links, you may be able to make money selling text link ads or leveraging that
authority to get pay-per-click contextual ads indexed.
If you know your industry well, then you should have a few friends in it. If your
site directly sells ad space, it is best to place a link or a few links to some of the top
sites in that space. Most people are afraid to take risks and do not see value in
something until some of their competitors do. Why not show a few fake ads so
people assume the ad space is valuable? After you gain a few advertisers, you can
take the fake ones down. It is important to understand who the important players
and aggressive ad buyers are in a market before doing this ad display technique.

1. Speed Up Your Start-up

If an entire pot of coffee can brew in the time it takes for your computer to boot, it’s time to make some changes. Most likely your computer is not slow – it’s the dozens of programs turning on during start-up that are slowing it down.
Download a comprehensive tool like Autoruns to easily disable certain programs during your start-up. Or try Windows’ slightly less thorough, built-in utility, MSConfig. To find it, go to Search or Run under Start and type “msconfig.” Under the “Startup” tab, uncheck the boxes of the programs you don’t need to run every time your computer is turned on, for instance, iTunes or your printer. If you don’t recognize a program, leave it be. Restart your computer and watch it fly.

2. Clear It Out

If painfully slow surfing is your main problem, there are a couple quick changes you can make.
Are you an Internet Explorer user? Get rid of it. Google Chrome is the best browser on the market now, known for speedy surfing. Under Chrome, go to Clear Browsing Data and check the boxes of temporary Internet files like cookies, cache, download history and browsing history.
To take further precaution, try a program like CCleaner from Piriform. The free software program removes temporary files from all of your browsers, as well as Windows and the registry, to make your PC run faster.

3. Slim Down

This involves more than just uninstalling programs you don’t use anymore. If you’re not totally committed to the usual suspects, like Windows Media Player and Microsoft Office, switch to something that requires less computing power. Free applications can easily replace go-to programs, while speeding up your PC and giving you additional features at the same time.
VLC Media Player is a lightweight, open source media player that rips DVDs, streams video and recognizes any unprotected media format. FoxIt Reader, an alternative to Adobe Reader, does more than just open PDFs all while using less RAM. Edit documents, open multiple PDFs in tabs and more. AbiWord, a free and open source word processor, and Apache’s Open Office, a free and open source full-fled

4. Automate Your Updates

Updates are annoying. It’s easy to click “remind me later” and avoid the notifications, until you’re so frustrated with your computer that you finally set aside an entire afternoon to update everything.
Let’s solve this. Go to My Computer > Properties > Automatic Updates. Make sure this is set to Download and Install Automatically. To completely cover your bases, find out if any programs need to be updated manually by downloading Update Checker from FileHippo.com. The fast and free program scans your computer and reports back with any available updates in seconds.

5. Make Some Upgrades

If you’re into gaming, a $150 investment in a graphics card might be worth your while. Forewarning: You’ll have to toy with your motherboard to make this upgrade happen, but there are a lot of online tutorials you can follow.
Finally, the most effective way to speed up your PC – which also requires tinkering – is to add more RAM (random access memory). You can find 4GB of memory for under $50 online. If you have less than 2GB (go to My Computer > Properties to find out), an upgrade should be in your future.

Easily move an email account from one cPanel server to another

Moving an email account (including old emails) from one cPanel server to another is pretty easy to do yourself if you have some knowledge of cPanel and FTP.
I will be using the terms OLD SERVER and NEW SERVER a lot in this article. Below are the definitions:
OLD SERVER = Server that the email account is currently on and will soon be moved from
NEW SERVER = Server that you want to move the email account to

Step 1: Create a new email account on the NEW SERVER with the same address and password

You can do this by going into the cPanel on the NEW SERVER and click on Email Accounts.

Step 2: Download the files off of the OLD SERVER

FTP onto the OLD SERVER and download the files needed. From the root directory, go to “mail/domain.com/emailAccount”. Here you will see a bunch of files. All you really need to copy are the new and cur directories.
If you have a lot of emails this could take a while.

Step 3: Transfer files to NEW SERVER

When the files are downloaded in step 2 place the new and cur directories in the “root/mail/domain.com/emailAccount” of the respective account on the NEW SERVER. The folder should already be created since you already created the account in step 1.
Go get some coffee. This step will take awhile as well.

Step 4: Reset Mail Quota

Now if you check the NEW SERVER you will see that your emails are transferred but your quota says 0/xxx MB. To update a wrong mail quota in cPanel: FTP to the OLD SERVER, open up the maildirsize file at “root/mail/domain.com/emailAccount” and copy all of the contents and paste them into the maildirsize file on the NEW SERVER.
You may have luck copying the maildirsize file on the OLD SERVER and pasting it on the NEW SERVER, however this did not work for me.

Step 5: Change DNS

If you followed all of the steps up to this point you should have all the files transferred, but you still need to point your DNS records to the NEW SERVER in order to have mail go there. When you update your records it could take up to 24 hours to take effect.

Step 6: Test

Finally, send a test email to the account. If that works send an email from the account. You’re done!

A global ransomware attack of an unprecedented scale took place Friday the 12th march 2017, affecting healthcare services, banks and tech companies.

A ransomware variant called WanaCrypt0r 2.0, also known as WanaCry or WCry, has locked up over 75,000 computers in 99 countries in the last 24 hours according to cybersecurity company Avast. The National Health Service in the UK, Spanish telecommunications company Telefónica, and FedEx in the US are among the tens of thousands of victims. Here’s how you can protect yourself.

Wanacry was first identified in February and Microsoft released a patch in March. If you have not updated your Windows software recently, do it now. The current versions of Windows 10 and the build schedules for each version can be found here. You can find the Windows version and build that is running on your system by going to Settings>System>About.

If you need to update to protect against WanaCry, Microsoft has gathered patches for all currently supported versions of Windows which can be found here. They have also taken the highly unusual step of patching legacy versions of Windows that have been unsupported for as long as three years. If you are running one of these versions of Windows you might want to give serious consideration to upgrading to the current version. In the meantime, you can thank Microsoft for reaching out to help you and download the patch.

If you have up-to-date malware protection software from a reputable cybersecurity company such as Avast installed on your computer, you are probably protected.  Check your cybersecurity company’s website to make sure you are. WanaCry is a world-wide, runaway threat. If your cybersecurity company’s website has nothing to say about it, don’t assume you are protected. Make sure you are running the current version of Windows.

A data warehouse is a subject-oriented, integrated, time-variant and non-volatile collection of data in support of management's decision making process.
Subject-Oriented: A data warehouse can be used to analyze a particular subject area. For example, "sales" can be a particular subject.
Integrated: A data warehouse integrates data from multiple data sources. For example, source A and source B may have different ways of identifying a product, but in a data warehouse, there will be only a single way of identifying a product.
Time-Variant: Historical data is kept in a data warehouse. For example, one can retrieve data from 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, or even older data from a data warehouse. This contrasts with a transactions system, where often only the most recent data is kept. For example, a transaction system may hold the most recent address of a customer, where a data warehouse can hold all addresses associated with a customer.
Non-volatile: Once data is in the data warehouse, it will not change. So, historical data in a data warehouse should never be altered.
